Christmas Tag

First tag I think I have ever participated in. I've already posted a picture of the tree, but here it is again.

My favorite ornament... I like any that has a picture.

My favorite Christmas Decoration... This changes from year to year. Not to copy Kristy but I think I too like my fireplace best this year because I purchased new stockings so there would be enough for our ever growing family.

I have 6 perfectly good ones that are no longer being used if someone would like them.

Christmas Weekend

Last weekend Grandpa and Grandma took us all to see the Zoo lights and treated us to a night at the Little America.

My family decided our favorite part was the Breakfast Buffet the following morning. I wish I would have gotten pictures of all the different foods they served.

We had a lot of fun and we even got to visit with Santa for a bit!

Our Three Trees

A little late posting these. Hopefully now I can do a better job at this considering I've finally got some time to spend at home for the next little while.

Kids decorating their tree this year.

Fun to see all of the different ornaments they collect and my how they accumulate.

It's fun for them to have their own so mom doesn't micro-manage where they hang their ornaments.
Speaking of ornaments... I have a problem. I just can't seem to throw old ornaments away and I have a bad habit of purchasing new ornaments for the year.
This is the tree Rich and I purchased the first year we were married (8 years ago).
It looked a lot bigger in our cinder block apartment.

If it's up to me I will have it forever, for sentimental reasons.
A few years later, I purchased another tree to display the ornaments that I just couldn't fit on our old tree anymore.

This has become the family tree.

Ornaments are certainly not my only downfall. It takes me over a week just to decorate the house for the holiday season (over two when I'm pregnant).

New additions for 2008.

My old wooden Christmas Village I purchased with some Gift Certificates I had received for my birthday, Thanks Gals!

Richard's mom traditionally gives us an addition each year, this year being a wooden nativity scene. Thank You Kathy.
Needless to say we have finally "decked the halls" and are excited for this month. The last thing I need is one more stocking for our new addition.

Oh yes, and Callie (the Cat) is just as excited for she has found a new sleeping area.

Happy Holidays!

Oktoberfest

Since the our last posting it seems like we've been going non-stop.
So to update you on all the October fun we had...
The kids entered a Safety Poster contest sponsored by Vulcraft (Richard's employer) at the end of August. The comical part of the contest was trying to get the kids to participate due to the fact that regardless of whether or not they won they would all receive a 25.00 gift certificate. We thought they might jump at this opportunity due to the fact they seem to always want money from us for one thing or another. Trust me it took some coaxing on our part but they were excited when they finally got their 25.00 in cash just a few weeks ago.
We took a picture to celebrate!
We also had fun decorating for Halloween, painting and moving furniture in order to accommodate for our upcoming addition.

We finally purchased a crib, car seat, stroller, high chair and portable play yard this month but have yet to take anything out of the box. Devin has been taking hunter's safety classes and is now officially certified and Caleb participated in his 3rd pumpkin walk at school.

He painted his Frankenstein pumpkin all by himself.
I tried to help but had to wash off what I did paint because he wanted it to be his own work. It was pretty dramatic that night.
On the 28th I was able to arrive at Utah Valley Hospital just in time to see the birth of Emma.

She is such a doll and it makes me even that more excited for our little gal!

Thank you Rachel for letting me experience life's joys with you. I love you tons!
Last... Caleb's primary program, haunted ginger house decorating, trick or treating

and we attended our traditional Jefferies Halloween party @ Grandma and Grandpa's house.

The kids had a ball eating, playing games and listening to stories from our special vistior...Witch Samon.

Thanks Mom and Dad for making each Holiday a fun get-together for everyone!
We are now looking forward to Thanksgiving, Christmas and of course Baby Sister.
